Heroic Flame Leviathan Taken Down - April 26th, 2009
|
Well our final (and really only) foray into Ulduar 25 was a bittersweet success.
Understandably, Flame Leviathan was dropped without problem. We moved on into the instance with a distinct lack of preparation. Fun for some, not so much for others. On top of what was a pure fun assault on the trash and ultimate boss kill of Flame Leviathan, the night was fun....the finish, saddening. |

Naxxramas Complete - Monday, April 6, 2009
|
Our slow assault on Heroic Naxxramas came to its conclusion on Monday, when we managed to fel Kel'Thuzad, the sole remaining boss in the instance.
It was a long hard fought battle with many people staying well past their normal hours, but at almost 11:30 pm, Naxxramas fell.
Malygos is in our sights. |

Frozen Dragon Shattered - March 30, 2009
|
Having bested Thaddius and his twin guardians in a mere two tries, it was time for us to take our first serious look at the ice dragon Sapphiron.
Things started out shaky, with the group having issues dealing with Chill, hiding behind ice blocks, hiding behind ice blocks at the right time and squishy tanks.
But as should happen with a progression boss, we slowly worked out the kinks and got better with each try. Finding the right mix of resist gear and lack thereof, determining how the healing would optimally be put to use - basically honing each facet of the fight. Until on the fourth try the mighty dragon fell, paving the way for a ten man assault on the Eye of Eternity and it's master, Malygos.
But first, the master of Naxxxramas awaits... |

Thaddius 25 Falls - March 16, 2009
|
As the week drew to a close, Sinful Spirits once again headed into Naxxramas to face a new foe. This time Thaddius with his twin guards Stalagg and Feugin.
To date, the team had not had much luck doing the dance around Thaddius once the twins were down and this night was no different. We arrived at Thaddius' room through the trash in no time whatsoever and promptly began wiping against the big construct time and again.
After taking a break for a member to do some actual work work, the group resumed hammering away at Thaddius starting again at 9:15. For the next hour, the dance proved problematic for the team in one form or another.
Then, just as the final two attempts of the night were called due to soon to be losing a member or two, everything fell into place. Almost everyone made the jump. The only one who didn't rejoined the group without a problem. The dance went smoothly. Everyone moved around Thaddius calmly and comfortably. Big props to Kasad for calmly calling out transitions.
As we neared the finish, our main tank fell, causing a moment's confusion. In the ensuing shift we lost another couple of players and the adjustment wasn't swift. But adjust we did...
And Thaddius fell. |
