March 9th, the March on Naxxramas Continues
03/10/2009 11:26 AM by Bjornstern.

On Monday, March 9th, we continued our pace in heroic Naxxramas. While we could hardly say we have been flying through content, we have been continuing to make progress. This Monday proved no different.

Having downed Patchwerk for the first time the prior Thursday, we ventured further into the Construct quarter and made quick work of Grobbulus, downing him on the first attempt. Next came Gluth with a false start on approach, then an approach change that seemed to work flawlessly. Two or three execution oopses later and the big dog was playing dead.

A couple of tries on Thaddius showed that we need to get our rhythm down on that fight. It will come. But rather than end with throwing ourselves repeatedly against the last Construct to end the night on a down note, we moved to the Military Quarter and made quick work of the Four Horsemen. Felling them on the first attempt.

Good job, Sinful Spirits.

Patch 25 Crumbles
03/06/2009 01:41 PM by Bjornstern.

Once again we had a full team together so we could go after Patchwerk. It had been a couple of weeks due to some key AFKs, but when it came down to it, we went after him with a vengeance. Thanks to some great healing and tanking (and perfectly timed melee deaths), we took down the big construct on the second try. To top it off, it was a textbook kill. Well done, Sinful Spirits.

The remainder of the construct wing awaits us.

February 25th - The Fun Continues
02/26/2009 12:01 PM by Bjornstern.

So no new bosses this week.....yet.

As we contend with a few key AFKs and a seeming healer shortage due to bad weather (yes, you read that right), we limped back into heroic raiding with a slightly abbreviated group. 19 to be exact. With this group (which included a couple of added friends from other guilds) we managed to one-shot both Obsidian Sanctum and Vault of Archavon. No playing with drakes in the Obsidian Sanctum this time around though.

Thanks to the diminished group size, a number of us completed our Less is More achievement for heroic OS. More importantly, we just further showed we are ready to go with far less than a full 25.

However, due to a late start and not moving quite as fast with fewer people, we disbanded the 25 progression and went into Naxx for a continuation of the ten man we have running. We just dabbled in Patchwerk where an LOLBear defied expectations and managed to live. Good healing Ungodly.

Before wrapping for the night, we gave a few new people a look at the Grobbulus fight so they know what to expect in the future.

February 17th, 2009 - Another Quarter, a Big Dragon and a Stone Golem Cleared
02/18/2009 01:43 PM by Bjornstern.

With the new week upon us, it made sense to mix it up just a bit more. This time we started in the Obsidian Sanctum where we failed miserably trying to kill Sartharion with one drake up. We then killed the drake and one-shot Sartharion with nary a thought.
Moving back into Naxx we made quick work of Razuvious and Gothik as we one shot each boss. Moving on to the Four Horsemen, we thought we had the kinks worked out. Due to an early foolish death and DC by the priest Bjornstern, things didn't go quite as smoothly as planned. Nonetheless, The Four Horsemen dropped the first try.
So on to Archavon since the Horde had control of Wintergrasp. Bing Bang Zoom and the Stonewatcher was dead at our feet. Another new boss felled...

February 12th, 2009 - Back in Heroic Naxx
02/18/2009 01:39 PM by Bjornstern.

Well this time our MC priests had the kinks worked out and we successfully downed Razuvious on the second attempt. We continued moving along through the military quarter and downed Gothik the Harvester readily on what I believe was the first attempt.
We had some trouble on the way to the Four Horsemen and the trouble continued as we had issues working out the best strategy for handling the group. After several tries, we called it as a late night and resolved to head back in as soon as possible. Regrettably, we were not to return that week.
